Uptime Kuma webhook
Monitor down and back-up alerts from a self-hosted Uptime Kuma.
Setup
- In PingLoom open Webhooks, choose New webhook source, pick Uptime Kuma, choose the events and create it. Copy the endpoint URL.
- In Uptime Kuma open Settings, then Notifications, and choose Setup Notification.
- Set Notification Type to Webhook, paste the PingLoom URL into Post URL and set Request Body to Preset - application/json.
- Save, then attach the notification to your monitors (or tick Default enabled to attach it to all of them).
- Press Test in Uptime Kuma. A test message has no monitor, so PingLoom ignores it; pause a monitor or break its URL to see a real alert.
Verification
Uptime Kuma's webhook notification has no signing option, so PingLoom cannot check a signature. The endpoint URL is unguessable and is the only secret: anyone who has it can post alerts to your source. Keep it private, and delete the source and create a new one if it leaks.
Careful: Uptime Kuma cannot sign its requests. The endpoint URL is the only secret, so keep it private and replace the source if it leaks.
Events
You choose which events become alerts when you create the source, and you can change it later on the source page.
| Event | Priority | On by default |
|---|---|---|
| Monitor down | high | Yes |
| Monitor back up | normal | Yes |
PingLoom keeps the monitor name, status and Uptime Kuma's message. The monitor URL is never copied because it can contain credentials. Pending and maintenance states are ignored.
