Typeform webhook

New Typeform responses, with up to five answers you choose.

Setup

1. In PingLoom open Webhooks, choose New webhook source, pick Typeform and create it. Copy the endpoint URL and the secret. The secret is shown once.
2. In Typeform open your form, then Connect, Webhooks, and choose Add a webhook.
3. Paste the PingLoom URL as the Destination URL, switch on the webhook and enter the PingLoom secret in the Secret field.
4. On the PingLoom source page, under Questions to include in the alert, type up to five question titles exactly as they appear in your form.
5. Use View deliveries then Send test request in Typeform, or submit the form once. The request appears under Recent requests on the PingLoom source page.

Verification

Typeform sends a Typeform-Signature header: sha256= followed by the base64 HMAC-SHA256 of the raw request body, keyed with the secret you set on the webhook. Typeform signs no timestamp; PingLoom uses the Typeform event id to drop repeats.

Events

You choose which events become alerts when you create the source, and you can change it later on the source page.

With no questions listed, the alert carries only the form title. Email, phone, URL, file and payment answers are never read, and any answer that looks like an email address or phone number is dropped.
